In today’s internet age, just about anyone can get started with a website to sell something. Right now people can get a .com domain name for $9 and have hosting for a few dollars more. They could pick a template and just run with it, or design there own site if they know how. With it being so cheap and easy to get a website up and running online, the competition is immense. Another thing to take into consideration is you are not just competing with Bob Smith downtown, your competition is worldwide. The internet world changes so fast, if you do not hustle and miss out on an opportunity you are not going to get a tweet saying so. That chance is long gone and you were left behind, try again next time. A big misconception people have to internet marketing and having there website generate revenue is the fact they think it is so easy to do. For some people it can be easy to have your website make you money, it all boils down to how much you are going to hustle in not only getting your name out there, but your website as well.
Go All In
When your site is completed and live on the internet, you need to take your chips and push them all in. You need to hustle and get your site out there for other’s to sea. Now I am not saying I want you take all of your money and gamble on advertising. I want you to go all in with your effort, either go big or go home. This is a big factor for any internet marketer, if you do not hustle day in and day out you will not go as far. For some marketers out there, they no longer need to hustle. They just simply make a blog post about there new product, service, or whatever and people by the masses pull out there credit card. Do you think these marketers got to be this way overnight? Of course not, they hustled there butt of for years to get to that platform.
Isn’t Hustling Like Ripping People Off?
That is one way the word hustle is used, but not in this case. You are not standing out on 4th street with 3 cards on top of a box trying to hustle for money. Hustling in the internet marketing world is all about busting your ass and not giving up. Here are a few definitions of the word hustle courtesy of TheFreeDictionary.com
- To jostle or shove roughly.
- To convey in a hurried or rough manner
- To cause or urge to proceed quickly
- To sell or get by questionable or aggressive means
- To pressure into buying or doing something
- Energetic activity; drive.
I highlighted these two for one simple reason, you need to have the drive and energy to succeed online. Everyone wants there website to make them money, however a lot of people either put in little effort or no effort at all in marketing that site. You need to hustle, you need to get out there with everyone else and get them interested in not only what you say, but also what you have to offer.
Hustling With No Money
How can I hustle when I do not have much money to put into my site? You do not need money to hustle, you just need to have the marketing passion and drive to make your dream a reality. You probably have a day job or even a family, not a problem! It comes down to balancing your life schedule to make time for your online ventures. When I say hustle, I am not saying for you to go out and rip people off, that is not the purpose of this post. It revolves around you busting your ass, having the drive, the determination, the energy to make your online business succeed. Here are a few ways you can hustle with little or no money at all.
- Forum Participation - Find forums that are related to your niche, introduce yourself and interact with the members there so you can get to know them better. On some forums you can even use links in your signature, so every post you make can have a link to your website. Danny Sullivan, Michael Gray, Aaron Wall, Barry Schwartz all participated and moderated forums in the internet marketing world. You to can do the same thing, it just takes time and for you to hustle your ass off.
- Blog Commenting - These days there are thousands of blogs that you can be participating on, leaving useful comments along with a link to your website. Leaving good comments will get reader’s of that blog to possibly check out your site as well. It is a snowball effect, the more comments you leave, the bigger the snowball can get. Eventually it will just steamroll down the hill and get huge. You know you can comment on this blog right?
- Twitter - I love twitter, it is another great tool you can use to easily interact with people that you never thought you would. With twitter you can leave short, 140 character long messages to other users. Very simple and you will meet some really down to earth people, these people have the chance to follow you and see what you talk about. Let your followers know what you are up to, any new posts, product launches, or whatever. Just get out there and interact! Follow me on twitter if you like, I love meeting new people. Do not be afraid to say hello!
In the end you need to really work hard at what you want to do online, if you do it half ass, then their is a good chance your outcome will either be half ass or a complete failure. If you need to work from 9pm-12pm every night to get your site off of the ground, then guess what, that is what you need to do. It comes down to your dedication and your ability to hustle your website online. Get out there and start making a name for yourself by hustling your ass off.

I just wrote a piece going into this subject as well as how in-the-street husstlers would make the perfect internet marketers if they only switched to legal products
